DENIC, nic.at, switch - successful co-operation in the field of information security

Another successful internal audit took place at DENIC at the end of
March. DENIC's integrated management system for information security and
business continuity was audited by colleagues from Switch and nic.at.

These internal audits are mandated by the standard and aim to ensure
that the company’s own requirements, established through the
implementation of an ISMS (Information Security Management System), are
consistently upheld.

DENIC has thus fulfilled the standard requirement, which stipulates that
all measures of the new ISO 27001:2022 have been checked for the
upcoming conversion audit next autumn.

The initiative for DACH registries to conduct mutual audits is a
valuable investment of time for all participants, as it not only
provides a shared review of each registry’s operations and processes,
but also brings up meaningful exchanges on key topics. "Last but not
least, an audit in this collegial atmosphere is also fun," says Dorit
Richter from DENIC's Information Security team.

Stefan Jakob (DENIC), Dorit Richter (DENIC), Patrick Leu (SWITCH), Andreas Steyrer (nic.at), Christoph Hardegen (DENIC), Marius Gabler (DENIC), Daniel Kremer (DENIC), Reto Leuenberger (SWITCH) (FLTR)

The security experts from the neighbouring registries took a close look
at the measures implemented at DENIC and the entire information
management system based on the new ISO standard and found no
shortcomings whatsoever. They provided valuable and useful suggestions
for continuous improvement, which DENIC's Information Security Team is
happy to take up and follow up.
