On 11 September, the 15th Internet Governance Forum Germany will be held in Berlin. At the event location "Auditorium Friedrichstrasse" – and online – the IGF-D offers the German internet governance community a platform to discuss current trends in internet governance and digital policy. As a national initiative of the global Internet Governance Forum, the IGF-D will subsequently contribute the ‘Messages’ gained from the discussions to this year's IGF in Riyadh.
The program was composed from proposals from the community, which comprises the stakeholder groups governments, parliamentarians, academia, civil society, the private sector, the technical community and youth. The current draft program, which includes topics such as the Global Digital Compact, digital identities, child and youth media protection and sustainability, can be viewed at https://www.igf-d.de/igf-d-2024/. Registration for free participation is also possible on the IGF-D website. Please note that the event will be held in German.
DENIC supports the IGF-D by providing the Secretariat, and it is also the main sponsor of the IGF-D this year.
