Once a year, the Federal Government of Germany hosts the Digital Summit, which is intended to provide government, business, science and the civil society with a platform to cooperate in shaping the digital transformation. It shall promote the exchange and dialogue with the Federal Government about forward-looking topics of digital policy.

Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Federal Digital Minister Dr Volker Wissing and other members of the Federal Cabinet will attend to talk about their work in the field of digital policy and engage in dialogue with participants from business, science, civil society and politics.
Digital Germany – Innovative. Sovereign. International
The Digital Summit has a key topic, which changes every year, and it includes various platforms. The theme of this year’s Digital Summit reads ‘Digital Germany – Innovative. Sovereign. International’. The event will be held in Frankfurt am Main on 21 and 22 October. Grouped in eight platforms, each with their own focus, the Digital Summit comes along with a varied two-day program.
The Market of Digital Opportunities
In addition to the Digital Summit, the partner state Hesse is organising a side program in cooperation with the city of Frankfurt – the ‘Market of Digital Opportunities’ – which is aimed at highlighting the strengths of Hesse and Frankfurt as a an important digital, economic, financial and innovation center in Germany. As an operator of critical technical infrastructure and thus an important player in the region – and beyond – DENIC will also be represented at the Market of Digital Opportunities.
DENIC at the 2024 Digital Summit
We will provide comprehensive information about DENIC eG and its subsidiary DENIC Services. Moreover, we will also show an image film that illustrates the central tasks of both organisations and outlines our vital role in Germany's digital ecosystem. The film offers insights into our responsibility as the operator of the.de domain and the specialised services of DENIC Services and demonstrates how we actively contribute to the design of a secure and future-oriented digital infrastructure.
