Frankfurt, 9 April 2025 – At the 73rd General Assembly of the CENTR association held on 27 March, DENIC Board member Thomas Keller was elected Chair of the organisation’s Board of Directors.
The other members of the Board are Luisa Ribeiro Lopes (.pt), Jakob Truelsen (.dk), Sophie Mitchell (.au) and Pierre Bonis (.fr).

"I highly appreciate the trust placed in me by the members and look forward to actively shaping the strategic development of CENTR in this role," says Thomas Keller. "Especially in times when questions of digital sovereignty, security, and the resilience of the internet are increasingly gaining importance, it is essential to strengthen the voice of European ccTLDs and further expand our cooperation. This mandate offers an excellent opportunity to bring the European perspective into global internet debates and actively shape standards."
CENTR (Council of European National Top Level Domain Registries) is a not-for-profit association of mainly European ccTLD registries (that is domain registries of country codes such as .de). CENTR sees itself as a forum for intensive cooperation between the ccTLDs and fosters the development of best practices and highest standards for ccTLD management to the benefit of the entire internet community.
