What brought you to DENIC?
"A friend told me about the vacancy in the Marketing Team. I was looking for new challenges then, and DENIC offered the perfect opportunity to gain additional practical experience in a fascinating environment. Something completely different from all I did before. Because working at a domain registry – well, that's really something special! We, that is DENIC, are the centrepiece of the internet and we shape the digital future – I was highly impressed when I learnt that and got really curious."
What do you like at your job?
"Working as a student trainee at DENIC is a really cool experience! From the very start, we assumed responsibility, especially in the social media field. DENIC grants us a lot of leeway here, so that we can bring in our own concepts and creativity. We are constantly coming up with new content ideas, and even if the result is not always perfect, our work is highly appreciated. That motivates me to go on and consistently learn new things. Be it to track the latest trends in social media marketing or to grasp technical aspects of all types around domains – I really get a lot of input, and I can use it immediately on the job."
What makes your team at DENIC special?
"The work atmosphere in the team is remarkably harmonious and collaborative! Whenever I need help, somebody is there to assist me, both in my own and in other teams. Naturally, we often have to cooperate with other teams to ensure that we work with the right facts. Be it in the office or at company events – at DENIC, you are immediately integrated. I really enjoy being part of the DENIC family. And I love coming to the office to meet my great colleagues!"

Why DENIC?
A fellow student told me about the job, and the job profile perfectly fitted in with what I was looking for. Moreover, the domain industry really is a branch of the future. I was so happy when I was accepted. This is a place where I can actually grow, both professionally and personally.
What's so special about the job?
"One of Meri's and my responsibilities are the social media channels. When we started here, DENIC was active only on LinkedIn. Now you can also find us at Instagram and X. We are very proud that we have been so successful here. Of course, we still want to expand our social media presence further. What also makes the job so special for me is the way we are integrated in the team. We are a real part of it, equal colleagues, and the others believe in us. And last but not least, there are quite a few extras, we are entitled to, such as the gym allowance. That's just great.
How easy is it to combine studying and a part-time job at DENIC?
That's no problem at all. I am completely flexible and can adjust my working hours to my timetable at uni. During exam periods, I get enough time to study – DENIC fully supports me here. That makes the job even more pleasant because I don't have to feel torn between work and study."
